Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. She is well-known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories and the use of child victims in court settings. Her publications are numerous, she has received numerous grants and has been the recipient of many honors the national level and international. She has worked with many government agencies and institutions all over the world to conduct research and policies relating to child victims of the legal system. She currently acts as a advisor to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is also a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 57). She is the founder of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
